We know that being unprepared or underqualified will limit you potentially for any and most career opportunities. Preparing our young people with the tools they need in terms of education that meets their level, will utilize their skills early and prepare them mentally and emotionally. Encouraging and promoting different job possibilities where you know their abilities can lead to a variety of outcomes, will open their minds to greater possibilities for them to accomplish.
No Child Left Behind was an act that ended in 2015, and was replaced by the Every Student Succeeds Act in 2015. We prefer No Child Left Behind. What it says is clearly what we do NOT want to happen. We believes in inclusion, equality, and fairness. We believes that every child should have an equal opportunity to grow and succeed, and regardless of any form of disability, we should never exclude that child, and make every opportunity to give that child the assistance they need to be successful.
Fostering student independence is the ability to believe in your potential to achieve, accomplish and succeed. Encouraging our young people especially those from hi-risk neighbourhoods who have experienced poverty and inequality in their lives, requires a great deal of stimulation. Building self-esteem and awareness and recognizing their strength and advantages, will promote and nurture their abilities.
The first step in all the recovery processes can be the most difficult decision in your life. Making that decision will take determination, strength, encouragement, and a belief that things will be better. Understanding no right door will encourage and promote those that have a difference of opinion, and appreciate the opportunity to be wrong without being judged and feeling or being treated differently.
Gaming and Technology are a real problem today, especially if we cannot control the time our youth spend on these devices. Technology can be addictive, and so are the games being played by our young people. Recognizing that our children are spending a lot of time on these devices, and there is a potential problem, is the first step in solving this issue. Thanks to different technical apps for advancing the parental control on some of these applications, to assist parents in limiting the time spent on these devices. There is more to be done, and we can assist.
